With your daughter(s) immersed in secondary school life, you might feel there’s less opportunity to get involved compared to primary school. Not true! The P&F (Parents and Friends) Association is your chance to engage closely with the College and contribute in meaningful and enjoyable ways. To join the P&F, please contact our committee at stursulaspfa@gmail.com or come along to a meeting and register.
The P&F serves as a vital link between the College and parents. Our meetings are informal, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with other parents and stay updated on College activities. The College Principal regularly attends these meetings, offering comprehensive reports on school happenings.
Our primary role is to support the College in various ways, whether financially or otherwise. All support is voluntary and comes from a warm, welcoming group of parents. Many choose to help out at College events, such as sporting activities or the College musical. Our 2025 Strategic Plan outlines how we will align with the School’s needs and offer assistance wherever possible.
In the past, the P&F Association has supported students by providing air conditioning for classrooms, bursaries, outdoor sun shelters, a new Ursie Bear mascot, etched glass vases for Year 12 graduates, an outdoor chess set, and a defibrillator.
All are welcome to attend our meetings and get involved!
Meetings are generally held on a Tuesday at 5:45pm in Kerrilaw (room next to main reception). Dates for our future meetings for 2025 are below:
11th Feb
11th March
13th May
10th June
12th August
9th September
14th October
AGM 28th October
Buy a ticket to attend or, if you can’t make it, purchase a raffle ticket to support the event. You don’t need to be present to win a prize from the Major Raffle — we’ll hold it for you!
Expect delicious food like arancini balls, bruschetta, cheese plates, pizzas, and meatballs, all served by our students. Refreshments for purchase include Limoncello, ginger beer, beer, wine (Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Chardonnay, Prosecco), tea, coffee, soft drinks, and water.
The day kicks off at 11am with a tour for alumni, followed by live music at 12pm when the event officially begins. We’ll have tables set up across the front lawn (off Taylor Street). Check in at the horseshoe driveway on Taylor Street, receive your memento (an etched cup or stubby cooler), and find a spot to enjoy the day. There will also be minor raffles available for purchase on the day.
