One of St Ursula’s strongest attributes are our staff’s dedication to knowing their students and working in partnership with parents and students to ensure students achieve to the best of their ability. Our Learning Enrichment team engage with the students and their parents from the beginning of the enrolment process to cater for the broad learning abilities of our students and support staff in developing and nurturing educational partnerships.
Learning Enrichment at St Ursula’s College is offered through supportive inclusive programs across the College. Students who may benefit from learning support are identified by their guardians, teachers and/or during the enrolment process and referred to Learning Enrichment for further assessment. In-class support, small group assistance and classes and withdrawal support are ways in which we ensure students’ needs are met.
St Ursula’s Learning Enrichment program also targets Gifted and Talented students through our IGNITE extension Program. Designed for student in Years 7, 8 and 9, IGNITE offers them the opportunity to work on a self-devised Passion Project. The program promotes skills in problem-solving, project management and investigative research while encouraging gifted and talented students to employ creativity, time management, and critical thinking in their area of passion.
St Ursula’s collaborative approach when addressing students’ needs and emphasis placed on the importance of working with teachers, families and specialists ensure students can achieve at their optimum.
